Rev. Calvin A. Birch (M. Div.) is Founder and Pastor of the African Christian Community Church (ACCC). The ACCC was founded in 2003 in the home of Pastor Calvin and Mother Joan Birch. He has since has faithfully served through his hard work and inspirational leadership Pastor Birch He is an acclaimed preacher, teacher, and evangelist.
Through his hard work and dedication to the vision of the church the ACCC now runs several ministries including the Barnabas project, Inc, a nonprofit of the church designed as a social/community witness to African immigrants and needy families in Richmond and throughout the State of Virginia (click link for details), the Hospitality Ministry (runs a Food Pantry), an after school tutoring and mentoring program (21 boys and girls are enrolled for 2009/'09 school year representing Elementary, Middle, and High School students), Sunday School, Women's Missionary Union (WMU), midweek Discipleship group, Clothes Closet, the Monthly Community Meals, and Family Life Conferences.
Pastor Birch is a native of Liberia. His wife for 14 years, Mother Joan, is a humble, hardworking partner, and is actively involved with the Ministry. She currently serves as Sunday School Teacher.
Their union is blessed with six children, Olive, Esther, Calvina, Joel, Calvin Jr, and Precious.
Pastor Birch holds the Master of Divinity Degree from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology @ Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia. He is a former student of the Doctor of Ministry degree @ Drew University in Madison, NJ. He is currently enrolled at the Baptist Theological Seminary @ Richmond in pursuit of the Doctor of Ministry degree.
